The East Japan Die & Mold Manufacturers' Employees Pension Fund was established. The fuud was later expaneded to a national organization of the Japan Die & Mold Pension Fund. |

A Europe inspection team was dispatched from Central Division, to inspect die and mold industries in Europe. |

The Tokyo Die & Mold Manufacturers' Health Insurance Union was established.
The union mainly covered die and mold manufacturers in Tokyo, but its covering area was later expanded to the Kanto, Koshinetsu, and Shizuoka areas under the name of the Eastern Die& Mold Industry Health Insurance Association. |

The Die & Mold Cooperatin Parts Co,. Ltd (presently renamed The Nihon Kanagata Buhin Kogyo Co,. Ltd.)was established, as a cooperative enterprise wiht investment by 116 member

The association joined the International Special Tooling Association(ISTA). Representatives of Japan Die and Mold Manufacturers Association attended the ISTA's 1st International Convention(held in Belgium). |

Events commemorating the 1st “Day of the die and Mold”was held at Machinery Promotion Hall in Tokyo. Thereafter, commemoration events were held in the hall on Nov 25 every year as the anniversary of its founding. |

The 1st International Mold and Special Tooling Technology Exhibition(INTERMOLD JAPAN '90)was held in Osaka, under the sponsorship of the association, Nippon Keizai Shinbun, and TV Osaka. Thereafter,

the 1st meeting for promoting establishment of the federation of Asian Die and Mold association was held at Royal Hotel in Osaka. The discussion was made to establish the trade organization by 6 Die and Mold Associations in Asia including JDMA. |

The 1st Asia Die and Mold Conference was held at the Osaka Royal Hotel, in which establishment of the Asia Die and Mold Association (temporary name)was discussed by participants form five countries, including the Association. |

The Federation of Asia Die and Mold Associations(FADMA) was established by six Asian nations, including Japan. Its first conference was hel in Singapore with representatives of the Association.
Presently, ten countries are registered as members of the federation. |
